Sigita is one of MARINO’s longest-serving specialists. She doesn’t count her career in sales from her first CV, but from the first client to whom she could offer exactly what was needed. Today, she not only develops strategic relationships with major clients but also witnesses how MARINO has transformed over the last 10 years—from the foundations to the success it enjoys today.
From a Ballerina’s Dream to the Reality of Management
“As a child, I dreamed of becoming a ballerina. But I didn’t have a tutu, so I became a manager instead,” Sigita laughs. And in fact, management suited her: it’s a job where intuition, quick reaction, and consistency—qualities close to the rhythm of dance—are essential.
Sigita joined MARINO after a 12-year break from the job market, during which she ran her own business. “I had plenty of experience managing and working in sales. MARINO’s CEO suggested I work temporarily in the accommodation department and later move into sales. That’s exactly what we did,” she recalls. Just three weeks into her new position, Sigita signed her first contracts with two major names—BMW and Daimler. “That was the moment when I realized: I am in the right place,” she remembers.
Challenges and Growth: From the Pandemic to a New Company
One of Sigita’s most vivid memories from her early years comes from the pandemic period. “When COVID-19 started, all specialist projects shut down. And that was when I received my first large order for auxiliary workers at a poultry factory,” she recalls.
Some time later, the CEO offered Sigita the chance to take initiative in a newly established company: “Director Laisvydas invited me and said he had set up a new company for support staff services, but it wasn’t operational yet. He asked if I could start working in the auxiliary workforce sector, since everyone else was already doing it except us. And that’s how we grew, expanded, successfully integrated into MARINO, and continue working to this day.”
A Team That Became Like a Second Family
“Over all these years, I’ve worked with nearly every MARINO company. Colleagues have become close, almost like family. It’s an international, multicultural team that knows how to work flexibly, respectfully, and responsibly,” Sigita shares. In her opinion, this is one of the secrets of a successful team: knowing that the person next to you is not just a colleague but also someone you can rely on.
Sigita After Working Hours
Colleagues who know Sigita are aware that she has a wide range of hobbies and activities: in the past she was a strong pianist, sang in a choir, enjoys reading novels in German and English, and loves cycling. “But the best part of my family hobby is that my husband really enjoys sailing during storms, and I’ve become very good at being a ‘suitcase’: I lie down, don’t help with anything, but also don’t get in the way!” she laughs.
