    Careers FAQ

    Everything you need to know

Is accommodation and travel paid by MARINO?

Yes. Employees receive free accommodation, two people per room, during their project periods, and MARINO arranges and pays for transport to and from the work site. This applies across roles, including foremen, metal construction assemblers, ship-hull assemblers, welders and electricians.

I do not have much work experience. Can I still apply?

Yes. We welcome applicants with little or no prior experience. Support staff positions are often available in construction, logistics and manufacturing, for individuals and couples, and you learn on the job with our experienced team.

What type of employment contract do you offer?

All employees receive a formal Lithuanian work contract with the legal guarantees and benefits of Lithuanian labour law, including social security contributions, health insurance and paid leave.

What is the duration of your work rotation abroad?

It depends on the project. Rotations typically range from 4 weeks abroad followed by 2 weeks at home, up to 10 weeks abroad followed by 2 weeks at home. If you need to return home earlier for personal reasons, we do our best to accommodate your situation.

What type of testing do you do prior to employment?

Most applicants are first tested remotely by phone or email by our project managers. Welders, pipe fitters and assemblers are tested in person in Klaipėda. Only candidates who pass the tests are offered work, so every team member meets MARINO quality and safety standards.

Do you offer meals during work?

Usually meals are not provided. On some projects MARINO has offered free meals directly on the project site. Availability depends on the project and its arrangements.

Do I need to have my own work clothes and tools?

No. MARINO or the project client always provides the necessary tools. We also provide a set of new work clothes, excluding shoes. Shoes can be arranged separately for an additional fee if needed.

    Looking for a team instead?

MARINO supplies managed trades teams for shipyards, industry and offshore projects.
