Giving back, and spending time together
MARINO is a group of technical companies based in Klaipėda. Beyond our projects, we support the people and animals of our city, and make time for the team that makes the work possible.
A team that spends time together
Not everything at work is about work. These are some of the things our colleagues in Klaipėda do together.
MARINO cycling ride
Colleagues and their families, including the children, ride together every year. The route changes: it has led from Klaipėda to Juodkrantė, and this year the group rode from Klaipėda to Nida.
Aurum women’s challenge
For the first time, two teams of MARINO women took part in the Aurum challenge, driving MARINO Ford Mustang cars. We are glad to support women’s initiatives, at work and beyond it.
Wellbeing at the office
Yoga classes take place in our office every week, and colleagues play basketball together from time to time.
Christmas is a family moment here too: every child of our administration colleagues receives a gift box of sweets.
Giving back in Klaipėda
Our company is based in Klaipėda, and we want to be a good neighbour. Most of what we do is simple and practical: things people need, handed over in person.
Caritas: school supplies and support for local families
This year we started working directly with Caritas. Colleagues donated funds and school supplies, and MARINO added notebooks, pencil cases and drawing materials, plus several chairs and desk lamps.
Christmas for animals
Before Christmas we support the animal charity Būk mano draugas. We buy food and bring blankets, clothes, beds, medicine and formula for animals in need.
Drawings that became our Christmas gift
Children from a children’s care home drew pictures on the theme “My Biggest Dream”. The drawings became the Christmas gift we gave to our clients, a reminder that the most important things in life are not material.
Blood donation
We encourage colleagues to donate blood with the National Blood Centre in Klaipėda, and a group of our colleagues donated recently.
Vilties Bėgimas charity run
Every year we take part in Vilties Bėgimas, a charity run supporting oncology patients.
Common questions about community and culture
Does MARINO support the local community?
Yes. This year we started working directly with Caritas in Klaipėda, with school supplies and donations from colleagues. Before Christmas we support the animal charity Būk mano draugas, and we encourage colleagues to donate blood with the National Blood Centre.
What does MARINO do for its own colleagues?
Colleagues in Klaipėda take part in things together outside of work, from the annual MARINO cycling ride to weekly yoga and occasional basketball at the office. Every child of our administration colleagues receives a gift box of sweets at Christmas.
